SOME HEADLINES
News from around the capital.
Banksy: Lincoln Federal Savings Bank was hit with a regulatory order in June as a result of numerous practices, including its liquidity risk management and interest rate risk management.
Dynamic Parking: The City of Lincoln launched a study to improve downtown parking and traffic flows… prompting this simple-minded editor to wonder if, in this research, the city will also study some of its own questionable downtown parking practices, such as granting long-term construction projects that take up entire blocks of parking (NRC, we’re looking at you here), or the seemingly endless number of meters with ugly, orange “no parking” markers on them… But we’re not salty here. 🤷
Nuclear: NPPD is evaluating 16 total sites, including three near Grand Island, Kearney, and Hastings, for an advanced nuclear reactor.
🐯 Weekly Wildcard:
One headline (or post) we never saw coming.
Coke: At UNO, Coca-Cola will replace Pepsi products.
