NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH
A Georgian giant
At TLL, we often gravitate toward homes that need a little love. We’re suckers for original charm and character, but maybe a bit less stoked about knob-and-tube wiring or surprise plumbing from the Hoover administration. That’s what makes 2904 Georgian Court such a unicorn. All of the charm, none of the big projects that make us a little sad on the inside (plumbing, electrical, etc.).
Tucked on one of the Country Club’s most charming corners, this house was built to entertain. Your first holiday season? A multi-room party masterpiece, vinyl spinning, cocktails flowing, and someone definitely ending up in the breakfast nook talking about their ex. Spring rolls in with chilled rosé on the patio, your backyard water feature setting the vibe. By summer, you’re posted up on the rooftop deck, soaking up the sun and hosting the kind of Fourth of July party that makes your neighbors consider moving just to get on the invite list.
The Details:
4 beds, 4 baths
3,244 sq/ft
Built in 1931
A rooftop patio begging to tan your pale carcass on
❤️ KEEP:
The rooftop patio, the curved living room wall, the mudroom, the lime-washed exterior, and the peace of mind that comes from buying a house with the hard stuff already handled.
🗑️ TOSS:
Our only real beef with this one is the lack of overhead lighting in the living room (damn you old houses).
CHECKLIST
An over-ambitious weekend to-do list.
Put faucet covers on your faucets to prevent freezing
Drain your water heater
Take that wet bag of leaves to the dump
Plan those last-second house projects that “must” be completed before your holiday party
Create your wish list and send to your family
